   В сборнике представлены методические разработки, применимые в организации исследовательской деятельности учащихся. Первая часть сборника посвящена применению исследовательского подхода в обучении математике. Каждая нестандартная математическая задача – это, безусловно, задача творческая и исследовательская. Более того, математические задачи служат, в определенном смысле, эталоном для исследовательских задач, возникающих в самых разнообразных областях науки и жизни, поэтому советы педагогу, выступающему в роли руководителя и помощника при решении школьниками математических задач, имеют достаточно универсальное значение. Представленный материал базируется на разработках выдающегося педагога и математика Д. Пойа.
   Вторая часть сборника посвящена применению математических методов в исследованиях учащихся в области экологии и биологии. Обсуждается, как математика может применяться в биологии; какие типы численных данных могут быть в биологии, какие типы математических задач существуют в биологических исследованиях школьников, каковы принципы сбора материала. Даны некоторые правила чтения математических формул. Обсуждаются вопросы: что такое варьирование биологических признаков, что такое вероятность, каковы принципы обработки выборок, что такое статистическая достоверность. Описываются методы сравнения двух величин, методы анализа структуры популяции, методы описания взаимосвязи величин и методы многомерного анализа. Представлены статистические таблицы и аннотация дополнительной литературы.
